My Pregnancy: 12 weeks

How far along: 12 weeks
Total weight gain: 3 lbs so far.... must be all the carbs I added to stay full longer during this 1st tri! :)
Maternity clothes: Not yet, but definitely getting close. My skinny jeans stopped fitting weeks ago, and I'm wearing the largest jeans in my closet. Using a belly band and hair tie trick to keep them on, but let's be honest, they're completely unbuttoned AND unzipped at this point. My belly needs to breathe!
Stretch marks: Nope! I didn't get them with Landon, so hoping I don't see any this pregnancy either!
Sleep: I was sleeping terribly in the beginning, but I ordered myself a prego whole body pillow and it's done wonders! I feel a lot more supported, and am sleeping for longer chunks of time. Until I have to get up to pee that is.... I'm also napping most days when Landon does. I need the extra energy.
Pregnancy symptoms: Before this week: Nausea every day, throwing up here and there, increased migraines and headaches, fatigue, interrupted sleep, constant need to have food in my stomach (even though nothing sounded good). This week: nauseous, tired, headaches.
Best moment of this week: Sharing our exciting news with the world! :)
Miss anything: I miss my skinny jeans, which I wore a TON, but I'm just going to have to get some maternity skinny jeans, so that'll take care of that! With fall approaching, skinnies are a must with boots and scarves! Yay!
Movement: Definitely none yet, but every once in a while I feel something (most likely gas bubbles) that reminds me of the early movement I felt with Landon, and that makes me SO excited to get to feel a baby moving in my belly again!
Food cravings/aversions: Up until recently NOTHING sounded appealing. I was nauseous every single day, so I literally had to force myself to eat. Anything that I could get down I did. Thankfully, I have days more often now where something sounds pretty decent so I make it as soon as possible so I don't lose the desire to eat it!
I haven't had too many cravings so far, but when I do, I indulge. For example, I took my son out early in the morning last week to watch a hot air balloon festival in my town, and I passed the donut shop and had an instant craving. And yep, I got a couple donuts and they were delicious and worth every calorie. :)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Any smell that's too strong makes me gag. I could smell the bleach in the toilet and well, since the toilet was my friend a lot last week, I was close enough to smell it, and then the porcelain and I had a closer relationship than I'd like to admit. Ugh. Also, my pantry and fridge don't smell bad on their own, but when I open them, the combination of all the foods together makes me queasy. Too many different scents in one place.
Have you started to show yet: That's a big YES. I feel like I started showing immediately. The bloating was apparent to me right away, and to my husband, and then around 9-10 weeks my uterus called out and said, "been there, done that", and popped. Every morning when I woke up I looked in the mirror and thought, "is it possible for it to be growing every.single.day.!?" because that's what it seemed like. Then this week, it seems to have stayed the same so far, so maybe I'm leveling out for a couple weeks!? I don't mind... I like getting the bump out because who likes the beginning stage where you just look like you gained 10 lbs? Ummm pretty sure no one. So bring on the belly bump!
Gender prediction: No clue. I thought my son was a girl my whole pregnancy, up until the moment I found out. So much for my instincts! :)
Labor Signs: Thankfully, no!
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy! When I'm not feeling miserable that is.....
Looking forward to: Always excited for my next appointment to hear the baby's heartbeat.

Upcoming appointments/events: No appointments until next month. My mom's been out of town for a week, but returns tomorrow, so Landon and I are looking forward to spending some time with her!

Weekly Wisdom/Quote: "Feeling fat lasts nine months, but the joy of becoming a mom lasts forever".

Milestones: I feel like I reached a milestone this week, since I'm having a few days here and there where I don't feel as nauseous, and I'm not as tired. I try to be productive on those days since they are few and far between as of late!
