Mini Cinnamon Rolls

A few nights ago, my husband and I were craving something sweet, but didn't have anything readily available at home (I try not to keep sweets and snack foods around or we will eat them any time we have a craving!). He had a headache and of course I wanted to make him feel better, so what better to do than bake him something sweet? Okay okay... that's the way to make ME feel better, but all the same, I went straight to the kitchen and knew just what I'd make. I'd seen a crescent dough cinnamon roll recipe floating around the web and was looking for any excuse to make it. This recipe is easy, quick and unbelievably delicious.

Mini Cinnamon Rolls 

Ingredients
1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter, divided
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions 
- Preheat oven to 350° F
- Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in bottom of pie plate
- Add brown sugar to the butter and stir to combine
- Unroll crescent dough and pinch the seams together to create one big sheet
- Spread with remaining softened butter
- Combine white sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the buttered dough
- Roll the dough back into a log and cut into 8 pieces
- Place rolls in prepared pie plate
- Sprinkle with any remaining cinnamon sugar
- Bake for 20 minutes
- Top with vanilla glaze (recipe below) and serve warm

Vanilla Glaze 
Ingredients 
1 cup powdered sugar
4 tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla

Directions 
- Combine sugar, cream and vanilla
- Stir together until smooth and pourable (add one tbsp of milk if needed to thin)
- Drizzle on top of cinnamon rolls
