Giving Thanks (for quiet moments)

I'm thankful quiet moments. Since I don't get many of these to myself, I appreciate them more than ever. To have the opportunity to sit and read a book, or sit here and blog, or take a walk and enjoy the beauty around me. I enjoy those moments where I don't have anywhere specific to be, anything pressing I have to do, and not having to think about my ever-growing "To Do List".

I enjoy taking Landon for walks in his stroller. He likes to look at everything and sits quietly while I push him.  I put in my headphones, listen to music and walk. It's very refreshing to me, and became something we do together since he was born. Nice to get out of the house, get some fresh air and exercise.

My ideal quiet time includes snuggling up under a blanket, with a hot coffee or tea and reading a good book. Now THAT is pure bliss. :) Landon is taking one long nap each day now, so I take the opportunity to practice being quiet and doing something for myself, instead of chores (that will always be there).
