Best Banana Bread Recipe!

I know... there are a million different banana bread recipes, and many of us claim to know someone who makes "the best banana bread", but I truly haven't had one this good before. It may be because it is so moist. Or because it just tastes that good. I don't know what makes this recipe different, but it was so yummy I had to share!

It's a super simple recipe, with no special added ingredients not normally found in banana bread, but when you bite into this bread, you'll know why I couldn't keep it to myself. I made mine without nuts, since my husband and I aren't huge fans of nuts in our food. But if you're like many who eat banana bread, you may think it's missing something without the nuts... so do what you like best!

Ingredients

3 or 4 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar (I reduced it to 3/4 cup and it was plenty sweet)
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F
With a spoon, mix butter with the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl
Add in the sugar, egg and vanilla
Next, add in the baking soda and salt, mix in
Add the flour last, mix
Pour mixture into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan
Bake for 1 hour
Cool on a rack
Remove from pan, slice and serve

UPDATE: I just made this in my crockpot, instead of the oven. Pour 2 cups of water in your crockpot. Pour batter into foil bread pan. Cover the top of your crockpot with 8 paper towels and place the lid on top, so the paper towels won't fall inside and the condensation will be trapped. Cook on High for 3 hours. This method makes the bread even more moist. Sooo good!
